Samantha WL Lee is a writer and educator who writes short stories, poetry, essays and novels. She was shortlisted in the 2022 WestWords/Ultimo Prize for her manuscript Bound and completed the WestWords Fellowship in 2023. Samantha has been shortlisted for multiple Needle in the Hay flash fiction competitions and has been published in SBS Voices and FemAsia Magazine.
Samantha is also an education consultant who works with schools to improve results. Drawing on her decade’s experiences as Head Teacher English and a Curriculum Advisor in the HSC Strategy team, she supports executive teams and faculties to evaluate data and develop plans to move forward. With a focus on assessment and programs, Samantha shares her expertise on making success clear to give students the skills they need to become students assessment insiders.
Samantha also offers author talks specifically about her debut novel Bound and also writing workshops to develop students’ skills in imaginative, discursive and persuasive writing.
